Of The Storm flows between a moody bass line and a crushing heavy chorus to symbolize the attempt to navigate the waters of a relationship that becomes turbulent and violent like hurricane. The song portrays what it is like to give your entire self to someone who shows absolute love, only to turn and reveal absolute dominion. The fight to breathe and reserve some self amongst being drowned in that person's rage and despotism, coming to a point of deep despondency. Clinging to the hope of revival and renewal, while warning of the horrors that can show when a past is deconstructed; based in vulnerability, mistakes, love, heartbreak, betrayal and oppression.
